HBBA Winter News

Hope you are enjoying President’s Day.

Spring is just 31 days away.  Our first meeting of the 2025 Season will be on April 7th at the Hampton Bays Library at 7 PM. Hope to see you there.

Some good news to report. The owners of the Hampton Bays Diner have received a demolition permit to remove the diner buildings and clear the property. As soon as the building permit is filed they plan to start construction.

The HBBA 2025 Special Project will start this Spring with a planting of 19 trees on Main Street and Ponquogue Ave.

Our other 2025 project is underway with the replacement of the electric service and well lights on the State Route 24 Median. We were granted a New York State Grant of $20,000.00 to do these improvements. The triangle median will be planted in the Spring as soon as we are able to repair the sprinkler system.

We are looking forward to Sunday March 9th when we get to turn our clocks forward one hour.

Save the Date: The 39th Annual Garden Party and Famous Auction will be held on Saturday June 7th at Oakland’s Restaurant on Dune Road. More information will be on our HBBA.Net website soon.
